With National Houseplant week taking place (10th-16th January) and reports found that January is one of the hardest months of the year.

Research shows that MORE than 25% of Brits have the ‘January Blues’ and admit to feeling more miserable than they do at any other time of the year.

However, studies show that plants can provide some mental health benefits and that constantly seeing and being around plants help us feel more calm and relaxed. Additionally caring for them can also reduce stress levels and boost our mood.

With this in mind experts at Sutton Manor Nursery have put together a list of the best houseplants to help with stress this national houseplant week. 

Research has shown plants in the home can reduce tension in people by almost 40%, the following plants are cost effective and great for beginners.
